Prison Card Ministry

Since 2003, members of Our Saviour's have been collecting unused greeting cards and sending them to prisons. This is very helpful to those who want to connect with family and friends. Cards aren't just handed out to those who would like them. The inmates have to work hard to earn money to buy cards to keep in touch with their loved ones.
Women of the ELCA sorts, boxes and sends the cards. In 2013, they sent 21 pounds of cards to Taycheedah Correctional Insitute, a women's prison in Fond du lac, and another 21 pounds to the Jackson Correctional Institute, Black River Falls, WI. In addition to unused cards with envelopes, note paper, and note cards are also sent.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Members of Our Saviour's knit and crochet prayer shawls.  This ministry is not just for the sick or terminally ill.  A prayer shawl can be given to someone that you want to know is wrapped not only in God's love but your love and and concern as well.
These shawls are made with prayers woven in by the knitters and crocheters for the recipient. Perhaps you know someone who has recently lost their job or a loved one - give them a prayer shawl.

What We’re Doing

Collecting School Supplies for LWR

Imagine having to choose between a meal or purchasing a notebook.  Members of the Our Saviour's have assembled materials for 100 school kits. This year with the help of bar code labeling we will be able to track were in the world the school kits end up. Kits shown here were blessed during worship prior to be shipped.

Our Saviour's is committed to our mission of sharing the love of Christ with each other, our community, and the world. If you are looking for perfection in a congregation - we aren't perfect - but we try to serve God with all our hearts.

Are you looking for a church home?  If you want to learn more about God and God's love for you, come. You are welcomed at Our Saviour's.  You are welcome - no matter what - you are even welcome to Holy Communion.  No one is ever turned away from God's Table.  You don't find that in every congregation, but at Our Saviour's you do.

We share Christ's love with each other through worship and youth & adult education of our congregational members. Our community and the world receives Christ's love through projects we complete that are described below.
